A brand new dog park has been created in northwest Calgary, and residents (along with their furry best friends) are being invited out to celebrate on Sunday, July 15.
The dog park is located in Calgary’s University District, and there will be a total of $900+ worth of prizes to be won throughout the day.

The party will start with a Pups on Parade event, with the cutest, biggest, best dressed, and trickiest dogs receiving prize packs from AtomicDog Boutique worth approximately $100 each.
The event will also feature a Puparazzi Photo Contest, wherein a $300 prize pack from Doodle Dogs will be up for grabs for the owner who posts the best photos and videos of their pup to social media by July 31.
A treasure hunt will also ensue throughout the entirety of the day, encouraging owners and dogs to track down five dog-inspired destinations throughout the park. Those who successfully complete their treasure map will be entered to win a $500 prize pack from Fairplay Pet Supply.
Food and beverages will be on scene (for both humans and pets), and will include cotton candy, coffee, and street food from Lil Truck on the Prairie.
There will also be a canine photobooth, a dog store pop-up, and K9 caricatures created by a local artist.
Everyone is welcome to attend — even those who don’t have a dog of their own!
