While it’s definitely been a trying time for all local businesses recently, it’s not all doom and gloom when it comes to food and beverage news in Calgary.

YYC has some stellar-sounding spots about to pop up for diners, and we can hardly wait to see (and taste) what these three soon-to-be-open businesses have to offer.

Brasserie owners announced they would be closing the doors after a decade of business but that they’d be back soon with a new concept, and they certainly weren’t kidding about the “soon” part. Eat Crow will be taking over Brasserie’s former space in Kensington, and it’s set to soft launch at the beginning of June.

Address: 100-1131 Kensington Road, Calgary

Brought to us by the folks behind Our Daily Brett, Actually Pretty Good will be opening at the cafe and market’s original location, 2509 14th Street SW. The concept will open its takeaway window initially, and for now, no seating is planned to be available at the new neighbourhood pizza destination.

Out with the old, and in with the new. Blink Restaurant will be ceasing operations to make way for a new concept taking over its space: Annabelle’s Kitchen Downtown. This modern neighbourhood Italian restaurant will be an awesome addition to the ‘hood.

Address: 111 8 Avenue SW, Calgary
