New seafood spot 'Modern Ocean' just opened its doors in Calgary
Calgary may be known for its beef, but the land-locked province just got a brand new destination for seafood.

Modern Ocean is officially open at 100 8 Avenue SE.
This new spot replaced Bar Modern, the concept that formerly operated in the Historical Imperial Bank Building on Stephen Avenue, just under its sister eatery, Modern Steak.

All the seafood at Modern Ocean is delivered to this kitchen daily “by the best suppliers and only the absolute freshest, exceptional quality fish and shellfish are to be selected.”
Modern Ocean uses line-caught, trap caught, or sustainably farmed seafood from Canada.
The menu here features eats like a chilled shellfish and raw bar, caviar, soups, salads, and of course, surf and turf.
Modern Ocean serves up lunch and dinner along with an awesome wine list and dessert selection.
