New Mexican taqueria to open at a popular Calgary food hall
A popular Calgary restaurant, known for its tacos and Mexican street food, is opening a new location very soon.
For those still mourning the loss of Moose and Poncho at First Street Market, we have some good news: another Calgary spot, Mestizo Taqueria, is opening a new location at the food hall.
While the spot has yet to reveal an official opening date, Mestizo will be bringing its delicious Mexican cuisine to Victoria Park in the near future.

If you’re unfamiliar, Mestizo offers a large selection of flavorful tacos with classic fillings such as Al Pastor, Tiga de Pollo, carnitas, shrimp, and so much more.
This will be the spot’s third Calgary location, with the first Mestizo outpost located at Fresh and Local Market, and its second in Kensington, which opened in 2024.
