Calgary has no shortage of excellent ramen places to try out, but a brand-new addition has just joined the ranks.

Menya Inoichi Ramen has just opened its first Calgary location in West Springs, where diners can enjoy hearty bowls such as tonkotsu to shoyu.

While the chain hails from Shenzen, China, Menya Inoichi uses premium Japanese ingredients in each of its dishes, including its broths, which are slow-simmered daily.

“Every bowl is made with intention — from slow-simmered broth to perfectly balanced toppings — bringing comfort, warmth, and depth in every sip,” the restaurant said on Instagram.

With everything from ramen to rice-based dishes on the menu, there’s a whole lot to explore. Main dishes also come with salad on the side, and there’s even free ice cream for dessert.

Since first opening in China in 2021, Menya Inoichi has expanded to dozens of locations and took its first foray into Canada in 2024. With a handful of Toronto locations, Menya Inoichi is finally making its way to Western Canada.
