Turns out all those hours spent mastering the art of Mario Kart wasn’t a “complete and utter waste of time,” after all, mom.
Greta Bar has announced that they’re hosting a Mario Kart Open this weekend, and the driver who walks away with the highest score will be doing so $500 richer.

The race was announced on the bar’s Instagram page, noting that the first event will take place this Saturday, October 17. First place gets $500 cash and free games for a year, second place gets a $250 gaming card plus swag, third place gets a $100 gaming card plus swag, and fourth place gets Mario and Greta swag.

Even if you don’t end up placing in the top four, all participants will get a Greta Burger, a Toto’s Handmade Cocktail, and Unlimited Gaming until 7 pm with their $20 entry.
The Mario Kart Open runs from 4 to 7 pm, so get ready to start those engines and keep an eye out for those dastardly blue shells.
