A video of an air bubble being created underneath the ice of one of Banff National Park‘s most iconic lakes has gone viral, attracting millions of views.
The clip, posted by @dyl_outdoors_ on Instagram, has amassed more than 300,000 likes and over 15 million views in less than a week.
The video shows a skater near a small hole in the ice’s surface, lowering themselves down to it and blowing into the hole. A large air bubble is then formed, with the camera following the bubble towards another hole in the ice’s surface nearby, and when it escapes, it creates a gurgling rush of water onto the surface.
You can catch the clip below, and it’s safe to say the pair on the ice conducting this experiment got a kick out of what happens when the air bubble comes back to the surface.
