Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna will be on the minds of everyone at the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.

With All-Star Weekend just two weeks away, the NBA has announced one of the ways in which they will be honoured at the February 16 event in Chicago.

All 24 players participating in the All-Star Game will be trading their jersey numbers in for Kobe or Gianna’s. Players on Team LeBron (James) will be wearing Gianna’s No. 2, while Team Giannis (Antetokounmpo) will suit up in No. 24 jerseys.

Additionally, both teams will wear jersey patches displaying nine stars to represent the nine people who were tragically killed in Sunday’s helicopter crash: John, Keri, and Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah and Payton Chester, Christina Mauser, and Ara Zobayan.

Players competing in the Rising Stars Game on Friday, February 14 as well as Saturday’s Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest, and Slam Dunk Competition, will wear jersey patches featuring the Nos. 2 and 24 in the centre surrounded by nine stars.
