If there’s anything we love to eat during the colder months, it’s definitely a warm, cheesy, fresh katsu.

This comforting dish is truly one of our faves, and a new spot to enjoy this crumb-encrusted Japanese delicacy recently opened in Calgary.

Kim’s Katsu is located at 314 10 Street NW in Kensington, and it’s serving up eight different varieties of katsu.

The selection includes Rosu Katsu (pork loin), Hire Katsu (pork tenderloin), Cheese Katsu (mozzarella and pork loin), Ebi Katsu (prawn), Assorted Katsu (pork, cheese, prawn), King’s Katsu (pork loin, demi-glaze, soup), Snow Katsu (pork cutlet, show cheese mozzarella), and Guy Katsu (beef).

Kim’s also offers a handful of donburi, curry, and udon dishes along with several appetizers as well — try them yourself during its operating hours from 11:30 am to 10 pm daily.
