One of Calgary’s most beloved cold-pressed juice companies, Juice Because will open the doors to its very own retail space this month.
Slated to open on January 22, the juicery will offer an array of wholesome and delicious cold-pressed blends, in addition to veggie-loaded soups from Juice Because’s new soup line, Soup Because, and other healthy snack food options.
Part retail space, part production facility, Juice Because’s 15th Avenue locale will be more of a to-go style outpost rather than a sit-down spot.
Customers will be able to see the juicer and all of the production processes through a glass partition.
“We are all about transparency with our product and we really want people to be able to see how we make the juice and the ingredients we use,” says co-founder Elisa Boyd.

Customers who pop into the new locale, will discover invigorating concoctions, like Penny (all of Juice Because’s blends have human names), which is comprised of cucumber, coconut water, lemon, mint, and chia seeds. Light and refreshing the Penny blend is protein-packed and high in antioxidants.
Previously packaged in plastic bottles, the new Beltline storefront will offer Juice Because’s health-focused tonics in glass bottles.
“We always wanted to use glass bottles, but when we started out we were renting kitchen space and didn’t have a means of storage. Now that we can store our glass bottles at our shop, we are excited to make the switch,” remarks Boyd.
