Indeed Canada just announced their list of the best jobs of 2017.
According to a release, the list was curated based on number of job postings, salary and growth opportunity. To be included on the list, each job had to offer a minimum annual salary of $70,000.
Not surprisingly, eight of the top 10 jobs are tech-related, including the top three.
“Canada is a booming hub for tech innovation and the demand for workers with highly technical abilities is increasing far faster than supply,” said Indeed Senior Vice President Paul D’Arcy. “The result is a rapid growth in open, unfilled jobs and increases in salaries for the talent that can fill these roles.”
Perhaps it’s time to head to coding school, Canada.
“While tech dominates many of the top positions for employer demand and competitive pay, the list also contains some surprises,” said D’Arcy “Demand for Real Estate Agents has increased by 36 per cent and in healthcare, we find that Optometrists are in high demand.”
Of course, we have a decent idea why real estate agents are making bank right now… at least in Toronto.
