Popular Thai takeout spot to open first dine-in restaurant in Calgary

A popular Thai takeout spot is gearing up to open its first dine-in restaurant soon.
While Hungry Thaiger has been operating as a ghost kitchen since 2023, the spot revealed it has secured a brick-and-mortar location at 3109 Palliser Dr. SW.
“With the addition of lunch service and an expanded menu, we’re excited to offer even more ways to experience the bold, traditional Thai flavors we’ve always been passionate about sharing with Calgary’s Southwest and beyond,” the restaurant’s website reads.

The restaurant, which was founded by a husband and wife team, began its life in a community kitchen, but now, Hungry Thaiger will finally be taking the next step into becoming a fully fledged restaurant.
The spot offers a wide array of classic Thai dishes, made using authentic ingredients, herbs and spices. Diners will be able to grab favourites such as Pad Thai, Satay skewers, stir-fries, curries and much more.
Hungry Thaiger’s takeout is currently paused as they get ready to open the new restaurant, but we will be keeping an eye out for the official opening date.
