How to watch tonight's Edmonton Oilers vs. Calgary Flames prospect game for free
The Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers will take to the ice tonight… kind of.
While NHL training camps are set to officially open later this week, teams across the league have been putting on their annual rookie camps over the past few days. The Oilers and Flames have been no exception, as both teams have been evaluating their young talent in a prelude to full training camp.
The Oilers and Flames prospects will conclude camp with a Battle of Alberta matchup set to go at the Saddledome in Calgary tonight, but fans wanting to watch the action will not be able to catch it on TV.

The Flames YouTube channel will offer fans a free opportunity to stream the action, starting at 6 p.m. MDT.
If you want to stream the game from Edmonton’s perspective, fans will need to subscribe to Oilers+ to do so. A monthly membership to the streaming platform runs for $8.99, while a yearly subscription costs $59.99.
The yearly Oilers+ subscription does, however, come with a three-day free trial.
Contrary to previous years, the Oilers and Flames rookies will not be participating in a prospect showcase tournament. This Battle of Alberta will be a one-off matchup for both groups.
The Flames should hold the advantage, as the team has stockpiled an impressive list of prospects over the past few seasons. Matvei Gridin, Andrew Basha, and Tyson Gross will headline the Calgary side, while Edmonton will counter with the likes of Isaac Howard, Josh Samanski, and Quinn Hutson.
If you’d rather take in the action live at the Saddledome, the Flames are offering $10 tickets that are available on Ticketmaster, while children ages two and under get in for free.
