Family-owned Asian grocery store to open a second Calgary location next year
A new family-owned Asian supermarket is embarking on an exciting new chapter with a second location set to open in the city.
Hong Kong Food Market has revealed it’s gearing up to open a new location in the south, this time on Macleod Trail. The new location is slated to open in early 2027.
The spot, which has a location at 3215 17th Ave. SE, specializes in both common and hard-to-source products from all over Asia, including the Philippines, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

It stocks a colossal 20,000 items, including frozen seafood, sauces, marinades, noodles, and more.
For those who shop at Hong Kong Food Market’s International Avenue outpost, there’s no need to fear, as the team confirmed that it would be sticking around.
