The countdown to the holidays just got a lot more exciting in Calgary. The city is welcoming a brand-new holiday festival, Holiday Wonder.
The festival is debuting at the BMO Centre this year, transforming 100,000 sq. ft. into a festive winter wonderland for visitors of all ages from Nov. 27 to Jan. 3, 2025.
According to the website, guests can enjoy an “indoor, immersive Christmas festival that brings the season to life like never before.”
Festival-goers can explore a life-sized gingerbread house that’s made with real gingerbread, take part in Frosty’s indoor snowball fight zone, go for a ride on Santa’s sleigh simulator, and wander through a twinkling snowflake forest.
There will also be opportunities to take a photo with Santa Claus and write letters to the big man himself, which can then be shipped away in a giant mailbox.
For those seeking holiday treats, the festival features a Christmas market offering a variety of seasonal food and drinks for purchase. With over one million lights and countless life-sized festive displays, Holiday Wonder is sure to be an unforgettable outing for the whole family.
“Whether you’re starting a new tradition or reliving cherished memories, Holiday Wonder is where the magic of the season shines brightest.”
Early-bird tickets are now on sale for the festival and can be purchased online.
