Calgary's build-your-own hotpot restaurant is opening a new location
A popular Calgary self-serve hotpot restaurant is set to open a new location in the city.
After opening its first location on 17th Avenue last summer, Hiipot Hotpot is bringing its customizable hotpot offerings to Kensington.
Touted as Calgary’s “first malatang hotpot experience,” diners at Hiipot are able to build their own hotpot, including a wide range of veggies, noodles, and proteins to load up on. The ingredients ring in at $18.88 per lb, and you can weigh your bowl as you go.

The spot also offers 10 different broth options, ranging from its signature Ma La Tang to Coconut Milk Tom Yum or Szechuan Green Pepper.
Alongside its build-your-own hotpot offering, Hiipot also serves bubble tea, milk tea, lemonade, and so much more.
Hiipot has yet to share an official opening date for its Kensington location, but we think this will be a must-visit for the neighbourhood.
