High temperatures and a chance of rain in Calgary's forecast this week

Stock up on sunscreen and throw on those shades, because summer weather is about to hit Calgary.

While no one will be complaining about the bright and warm 28°C that the city is expecting for Monday, the true scorcher will come on Tuesday when temperatures are expected to reach as high as 30°C.

And to think that, just a month ago, we were still brushing snow off of our cars…

Wednesday will cool down a bit with a high of 26°C and some cloud cover, and by the time night comes around Calgarians may want to take shelter — those clouds will likely be full of rain.

Thursday will see more of the same with showers throughout the day, and then things will brighten right back up for Saturday and Sunday with highs of 22°C and 24°C respectively.

Now, this is Calgary after all, so a snowstorm in May isn’t completely out of the question, but we think we’re safe to say that it may be time to store away that trusty winter parka until (hopefully) October.

Now go get that Vitamin D!
