Get in the spirit of the season at Heritage Park's Once Upon a Christmas

Nov 13 2019, 10:19 pm

Heritage Park is officially getting into the Christmas spirit, as Saturday, November 23 marks the first day of their Once Upon a Christmas event.

The event will feature wagon rides, Christmas carols, and a visit by Mr. Claus himself at the historical village, and attendees will be able to learn what Christmas was like back in the day as many of the homes and buildings open their doors to the public.

New to the event for 2019 is a 1950s Storybook Christmas experience, with classic stories, interactive crafts, and visits from holiday characters from the 1950s and 1960s.

Shopping will be available at the gift shops at the front gates, hot drinks and snacks can be found at the Railway Cafe, Wainwright Hotel Bar Room, and the Club Cafe (because that hot chocolate is a definite necessity), and a Christmas breakfast buffet will be served each morning for an additional cost.

Admittance to the event will run adults $11, though discounts are available for children, youth, and seniors.

The Once Upon a Christmas event will be held at Heritage Park every Saturday and Sunday from November 23 to December 22, and tickets can be purchased online at Heritage Park’s website or at the gate.
