A central Alberta couple has plans for a very specific kind of real estate after a big lottery win.
Helene and David Kimber of Mulhurst won $100,050 on the Jan. 15 Extra draw. The couple plays the lottery twice a week and often checks their tickets together.
The pair said the win feels āwonderful.ā
āI want to build a chicken coop,ā Helene laughed. āWeāve got the space for it!ā
The win isn’t entirely going to the birds.
āWeāre also considering buying a new four-season trailer,ā added David.
āI kept looking up each number, and they matched one by one,ā Helene said. āI was so excited, but I waited until Dave came home from work so we could do it together.ā
The couple bought their winning Western 649 and Extra ticket from the Sandholm Corner Store at 47404 Hwy. 778 in Thorsby, 70 kilometres southwest of Edmonton.
They won their prize by matching the last six digits in the Extra selection for Jan. 15: 1464619.
