Second Harry Potter event attracts thousands to Kensington's Diagon Alley (PHOTOS)

Diagon Alley was lit.
For the second year, Calgary’s Kensington neighbourhood transformed into Diagon Alley. On Sunday, July 30 over 40 thousand people flocked to be part of the action with many dressing up for the occasion.

From drink boards lined with butterbeer and pumpkin juice, to shops changing their name for a day, the details were impeccable. There was a giant chess board, characters roaming the street, golden snitch cupcakes, and we can’t forget how Sunnyside C-Train station was transformed into Platform 9 3/4.
