Indie-rock band Half Moon Run is coming to Calgary on the North American leg of their A Blemish in the Great Light Tour, which will take them across the globe.
The band consists of members Conner Molander, Dylan Phillips, Devon Portielje, and Isaac Symonds, who released their first album Dark Eyes in 2012, to critical acclaim. They received a JUNO nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year in 2016 after returning from a whirlwind tour of Europe and North America.
Half Moon Run’s complex brand of alt-folk, alt-rock, psychedelic indie, has built the band a cult following. Between them, they can incorporate percussion, piano, keyboard, guitar, synth, bass, mandolin, harmonica, and more.
The tour will take the Montreal-based rockers across Canada, the United States, and to Europe with stops in major cities including Prague, Barcelona, and Paris.
Fans are awaiting the November 1 release of their third album, A Blemish in the Great Light. Their highly-lauded live show is expected to sell out across the country — and potentially, the world.
