Alberta gas prices are in for a MASSIVE jump ahead of the weekend

If you have any weekend travel plans in Alberta, you may want to fuel up today because a gas price analysis service forecasts a pretty substantial increase soon.
Gas Wizard predicts prices will see a hefty jump by approximately 12 cents per litre to hit $1.40 in Calgary and 10 cents per litre to hit $1.36 in Edmonton on Friday, August 22.
The price of premium fuel is also set to increase by a whopping 21 cents per litre in Calgary to $1.75. In Edmonton, premium prices will also climb by 10 cents to $1.61 per litre.
As for diesel prices, they’re forecast to bump up by five cents per litre in both cities.
But despite the jump at the pump, Alberta still has some of the lowest gas prices in Canada. In Vancouver and Victoria, you’ll find some of Canada’s highest gas prices, climbing to $1.70 and $1.68 per litre tomorrow, respectively. It could be worse, we guess?
