Flash Flooding around Calgary as severe thunderstorm watch in effect

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Calgary area today staying in effect until early Wednesday morning.

Strong gusts of wind, large hail and heavy rain has been seen throughout the city as well as localized flash flooding. Thunderstorm conditions within Calgary will weaken later this evening.

It took me an hour to get from our house to heritage station. Train tracks are flooded and lights are out causing problems everywhere. If you don’t have to leave your house then stay home. What a disaster. #yyc #calgary #abstorm
