The Calgary Flames are reportedly set to introduce not one, but two alternate jerseys next season.
All 32 NHL teams are getting new alternate uniforms next season, as part of the league’s “Hometown Remix” program.
The Flames are expected to unveil a red uniform that includes a “Saddledome tribute,” according to Chris Smith of Icethetics. That report was confirmed by DJ Bean on theĀ What Chaos!Ā podcast. Bean notes that the jersey will include the Flaming C logo, along with Saddledome-inspired details in yellow.
The 2026-27 season will be the last played at the Saddledome, as the Flames get set to move into Scotia Place in 2027-28.

While the “Hometown Remix” jerseys could be a one-and-done look, similar to the NHL’s past reverse retro program, the Flames are reintroducing another jersey that likely has more staying power.
Bean confirmed that the Flames are bringing back the 2004-era jersey that Jarome Iginla and company made famous on their run to the Stanley Cup Final.
The jersey, complete with Blasty on the shoulders, hasn’t been worn regularly by the Flames since 2007.
These alternate jerseys will be worn in addition to Calgary’s current home and away uniforms, which are also retro looks.
