Jaromir Jagr in a Calgary Flames jersey?
It’s not as crazy as you think.
In fact, it’s downright possible – or dare I say, probable?
Look, I just tell my cat, there is a chance to play in NHL this year. ššš pic.twitter.com/8iBoTYeEl7

Sportsnet’s John Shannon broke the news on Sunday evening that talks between Jagr and the Flames are getting serious, with a decision likely to be made by Monday.
Flames/Jagr talks getting serious. Should know in next 18 hours…by the way, team checked with fellow Czech Michael Frolik on Jagr.

The Flames in on Jagr is probably an indication that some of the Flames' young prospects just aren't ready to make the jump to the NHL yet.

IF…and it's still IF…Jagr signs in Calgary, they are looking for him to play 3rd line minutes. They feel his size helps the team up front.

Time is beginning to become an issue for the 45-year-old. The future Hall of Famer hasn’t received as much interest from teams as most would have thought, given he’s coming off a decent season.

Jagr is still without an NHL team despite the fact that he finished fourth on the Florida Panthers in scoring last season, notching 46 points in 82 games.
Though he isn’t as quick as he used to be, Jagr is certainly still strong on the puck. He could still help an NHL team, particularly with his high-end skill on the power play.
With 1914 career-points, Jagr is second all-time in NHL scoring, trailing only Wayne Gretzky. If he plays again this season and stays healthy, Jagr would pass Gordie Howe for most games played in NHL history. He trails Mr. Hockey by just 56 games.
