First week of fall to see sunny skies in Calgary

We’ve got a little bit of summer left in the forecast, Calgary.

While the first official day of fall lands on Tuesday, September 22, someone must’ve forgotten to tell Mother Nature, because YYC will be seeing nothing but warm days and sunny skies for at least the next week.

Quite the contrast to the end of September snowfall we saw last year, so maybe this is some sort of cosmic apology.

The week kicks off with a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 19°C on Monday, which essentially sets the stage for the rest of the week, according to The Weather Network.

Tuesday comes in at 16°C, Wednesday at 20°C, and Thursday at 17°C — all three weekdays with a mix of sun and clouds in the skies.

Friday and Saturday will be even clearer, with mainly sunny skies and highs of 18°C and 19°C, respectively. Next Monday, September 28 will actually be the hottest day of the whole week, with a high of 21°C.

So make sure you make the most of these next seven days, given that the weather in Calgary can turn on a dime, and October very well may bring that unseasonable snowfall with it.
