Field Law donating $75k towards local community projects

The 4th annual Field Law Community Fund Program supports local pay-it-forward ideas and causes within communities. Field Law has regional offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Yellowknife and with their 2016 program will donate $75,000 across all three regions.

Individuals, groups or organizations can apply for funding and applicants do not have to be part of a registered charity. Funding will go to initiatives that impact the community in which it’s applied for.

Each submission must the following application criteria.

  • Define how the money will be managed and implemented for the initiative.
  • Applicants cannnot have won the award previously for the same idea from the Field Law Community Fund Program
  • The idea must have a measurable impact in the community by 2017
  • Must be an idea for a designated new project – funding will not be added to existing operational and overhead accounts

Winners can receive anywhere from $1,000 to the maximum award of $30,000 in their region.

Once the application process is closed, the voting phase begins. Qualified applicants and ideas will advance to the public online voting stage from May 17 to June 17.

2015 Southern Alberta Community Market winners include: CANNONBALL!, AARCS – Disaster Preparedness, Between Friends, Dare to Dream, Girl Power Summer Camp, and Healthier Families – Healthier Lives.
