With the Stampede less than a month away, we are sure that you are already drooling over the outrageous eats served on the Midway this year.
No matter what food you are looking forward to the most, you just can’t say no to an early taste of a classic Stampede pancake breakfast.
On Saturday, June 16, there’s going to be a free pancake breakfast to the Hillburst-Sunnyside community, a neighbourhood located in northwest Calgary.
You’ll flip over this…! The @calgarystampede is serving up free pancake breakfast to Hillhurst Sunnyside residents this Saturday for #yycNeighbourDay !

The breakfast will be served at the community’s tennis courts. A team of Stampede volunteers will be flipping and serving heaps of pancakes, while square dance performers will also be on site to teach you some cool dance moves.
The breakfast also serves as a get together in celebration of Calgary’s Neighbour Day, which takes place on the third Saturday of June each year. It began in 2014 to celebrate Calgary’s strong community spirit after the 2013 floods.
There is truly no better way to start your Stampede celebration early than by eating some yummy pancakes and strengthening your neighbourhood’s bond. Make sure to set your alarm clocks and get ready for a fun morning of food and live entertainment.
