It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Toronto holds a special place in Cory Joseph’s heart.

When the Toronto native signed with the Raptors as a free agent in 2015, he was coming home. The only Canadian on the Raptors roster was officially dealt to the Indiana Pacers on Friday, and on Monday he took time to thank fans for their support for the past two seasons.

A fan favourite, Joseph will be missed by Raptors fans. Not only was he a hometown player, he oozed class, as evident by the above letter.

Joseph appeared in 80 games with the Raptors last season, starting 22 of them in place of injured starter Kyle Lowry. The Canadian point guard averaged 9.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists, playing 25 minutes per game.
