Legendary Calgary nightclub to close after more than 30 years

One of Calgary’s most legendary nightclubs is hanging up its cowboy hat after more than 30 years in the city.
Cowboys Dance Hall, the iconic nightclub located inside Cowboys Casino, took to social media to share that it would be closing its doors, stating it would be “riding into an exciting new chapter.”
The Cowboys team shared its thanks to Calgarians, team members, and the Calgary Stampede for its support over the years.

“For now, Cowboys Dance Hall will close its doors as we turn our focus toward growing Cowboys Music Festival, creating bold new events at Cowboys Park and strengthening our partnership with The City of Calgary and bringing more exciting experiences and economic drivers to our city as we do our part to help Calgary continue to grow,” it said.
“The boots aren’t coming off; we’re stepping into something bigger, bolder, and built for the future.”
For many Calgarians, visiting Cowboys was a rite of passage, so it’s a major loss to the city.
