The kittens and cats of Calgary are in urgent need of some forever homes.

The city is overflowing with an abundance of these purrfect pals thanks to kitten season combining with the already high number of strays who need a home.

Animal Services is struggling to keep up and is overcapacity, according to a release from the City, with cats continuously showing up on the shelter’s doorstep even though they’re already housing nearly 100 felines.

The City has decided to sell all adoptable kittens and cats for 50% off from June 21 to 23 ā€” meaningĀ it’ll only cost you $81.50 to live happily ever after with your new furry friend.

You’ll also get a one-year City license, a collar, a bag of food, and a goodie bag full of toys and treats included in all adoptions.

Don’t worry about your fur baby’s health records, either, as any cat you adopt will have been spayed, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, licensed, and microchipped.

To sweeten the pot, you’ll get six weeks of pet insurance and a copy of their medical records.

Can’t take in another animal?

You can still help out the city by spaying and neutering any pets you already have to help prevent overpopulation in the future, the release states.
