City and Colour is swinging by Calgary during a cross-continent tour this fall.
The tour announcement came hot on the heels of City and Colour’s (AKA Dallas Green’s) new song “Astronaut,” which acts as a first look into the singer/songwriter’s upcoming sixth studio record to be released this fall.

“I always think of the relationships in my life that have been fractured because I ended up doing what I do for a living,” said Green in a press release, regarding the inspiration for the new song.
“I’m always gone, wandering around, and singing songs. However, it weighs on my family and friends. I’m asking for ‘one more year.’ I left home at 21 to go play my guitar. It’s lonely, but it’s because I yearn to wander. I’m aware of how lucky I am.”
City and Colour has seven platinum-certified albums and three gold-certified albums in Canada. His latest studio release, I Should Go Before You, hit number one on the Top 200 Soundscan, and marked his third consecutive chart-topping album in the country.
He’s also made some waves outside of the Canadian music scene, hitting number 16 on the US Billboard 200 Chart and worked with P!nk on a duet that debuted number one in Canada, number two in Australia, and number four in the US.
The tour kicks off in Tacoma, Washington on September 20. Green will eventually arrive in Canada at the start of November with shows in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and more before the end of the month.
The Canadian shows will all be performed alongside Jacob Banks and Ben Rogers, while his America shows will feature Alice In Chains, Ben Rogers, or Ruby Waters, depending on the city.
Tickets to any and all of these shows go on sale at 10 am local time on Friday, June 7, and all tickets will include the choice of a digital or physical CD copy of the upcoming full-length album.
