An early look at the Christmas forecast for Alberta is out, and it’s looking to be a pretty messy one, depending on where you are in the province.
The Old Farmerâs Almanac, which unveiled its winter forecast for Alberta back in September, has released its Christmas 2025 forecast for Canada.
The Almanac may have predicted a winter that will be milder than average across much of the Prairies; however, all Albertans shouldnât pack away their parkas just yet.
When it comes to Christmas, those in northern Alberta are forecast to see cold temperatures and snow, and those travelling for the holidays should anticipate “snowy roads” and “drive cautiously.” Those in the area are also strongly favoured to enjoy a white Christmas.
The southern portion of Alberta is set to see mild temperatures and sunshine turning to flurries on Christmas, with those on the move for the holidays recommended to travel early in the week, with the potential for slick roads later on.
Those in this area have a chance to enjoy a white Christmas, depending on storm tracks and temperatures.
