10 photos of Chinook Blast art installations that are sure to warm up your winter

Feb 16 2021, 7:26 pm

Chinook Blast is Calgary’s newest outdoor arts and cultural experience, bringing some fun to February’s long, cold days (and nights.)

The public art and light installations are designed to help Calgarians embrace the season and show the world that we’re not afraid of a little cold.

Wander through the Chinook Blast Hub in downtown Calgary, or visit a few of their partner pop-up exhibits in the communities of Inglewood, Kensington, Chinatown, Crescent Heights, and Victoria Park.

Chinook Blast runs from 3 to 9 pm, Fridays through Sundays until February 28 – check out the magic before it’s gone.

These photos from the first weekend of Chinook Blast are sure to get you ready to head out and explore the exhibits for yourself!
