Country music star Charley Crockett is still set to perform at Spruce Meadows in Calgary later this year, despite recently being denied entry to Canada.
The Grammy-winning artist was recently turned away at the Canadian border ahead of scheduled tour dates, forcing him to cancel several shows.Ā
Crockett was slated to perform in several cities across the country, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, and Ottawa. He explained that full refunds would be issued to ticket holders at the point of purchase.
Despite this, Crockett is still set to perform at Spruce Meadows on July 4, 2026, alongside Kashus Culpepper.Ā
āAt this time, the Charley Crockett concert at Spruce Meadows on July 4, 2026, remains as scheduled and has not been impacted by the status of his current Canadian tour,ā said a spokesperson for Spruce Meadows.
After being denied entry to Canada, Crockett shared an update on social media, posting a photo of a Government of Canada document of an official report for the reasons for the denials of entry.

Citing āSubsection 44(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act,ā the report revealed that Crockett was refused entry due to a felony conviction of cannabis distribution of over five pounds in the State of Virginia in March 2016.
āThis offence, if committed in Canada, would equate to section 5 (2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), which is an indictable offence that would be punishable by a term of life imprisonment,ā stated the report.
āShould there be any changes, we will communicate updates promptly,ā Spruce Meadows added.
