Carey Price won’t be adding a new Stanley Cup ring to his repertoire this season but at least his left shoulder is rocking some new flare.

The Montreal Canadiens goaltender took to social media in showing off his remarkable new sleeve tattoo which pays tribute to his Ulkatcho First Nations heritage and his family.

Riley Hogan, a Calgary-based tattoo artist who specializes in hyper-realistic black and grey tats, inked the seven-time NHL All-Star with a shoulder to elbow tattoo, on the goaltender’s glove side.

Both parties took to Instagram to show off the incredibly detailed masterpiece.

“I am very proud of my Grandmother and also very proud to have her blood in my veins,” explains Price’s post. “This bear and Anaheim Peak represent the community I was raised in. These bears are my family, whom I love dearly. The dude in the Piper is Grandpa Price, my father.”

Hogan proudly shared some pictures and videos of his artwork and praised the Anaheim Lake-native goaltender at the same time. “Honored to start this sleeve for Carey Price this past weekend. A genuinely nice human being. Had a blast man, can’t wait to get back at it! @cp0031 thanks for sitting so well!”

As explained in his post, this is only the first part of Price’s sleeve tattoo.

Toss a Stanley Cup ring into the mix, and Price’s left arm will be nearly as pretty as his save percentage.
