New black Canada Soccer jersey leaks ahead of FIFA World Cup
Canada is less than 100 days away from playing its first-ever men’s FIFA World Cup game on home turf.
And while the availability of some star players may be dwindling, the jerseys keep on coming.
Back in November, Canada’s home and away kits for the FIFA World Cup were leaked.
While those uniforms were relatively safe and predictable in terms of their look and colour schemes, the third jersey certainly isn’t.
The uniform was apparently first spotted by an onlooker in New York.

Compared to the straightforward design of the home and away uniforms, these alternate jerseys can be dizzying.
The primary black jersey features hand-sized Canadian maple leaves splattered throughout the shirt, visible through the effect as if they were carved out in ice.
Canada Soccer’s logo, along with the Nike symbol, is visible on the front.
Perhaps the nicest touch is that there appears to be a lucky loonie inside the collar at the back of the shirt, although that isn’t unique to the third uniform.

These jerseys haven’t been made available for purchase yet in Canada. Footy Headlines previously reported that Nike would be releasing all of its FIFA World Cup uniforms on March 23.
It’s unclear if the new third jersey will be a part of that release.
According to some reactions, fans appear to be split on whether to embrace the shattered-ice design.
“Surely that 3rd kit is a joke?” one fan said.
“Thatās black kit kills,” said another. I hope they advertise it as a ānod to snowtecha.”
Canada’s first game of the FIFA World Cup will take place on June 13 in Toronto, against one of Italy, Wales, Northern Ireland, or Bosnia and Herzegovina.
