It’s Canada’s 150th Birthday, and no one likes to celebrate more than Albertans!

Our provincial pride overflows throughout the year and now with our country’s big milestone, local businesses have created limited and special edition offerings to commemorate and celebrate Canada’s 150th year of being a country.

Here are some of the select offerings that are available now:

Canadian Butter Tart Small Batch Gelato – Fiasco Gelato

Considered one of Canada’s quintessential desserts, the butter tart’s flakey crust and simplistic filling made from egg, butter, syrup and sugar has been turned into a rich and delicious creamy (and cold) treat.

You can find these in Calgary at all Fiasco Gelato stores. Use this interactive map to help you find your way to happiness.

Crave Cookies and Cupcakes

Crave’s famous buttercream was born in Canada long before they opened their first storefront in 2004. That’s their only dessert with history, however; their bakers have been referring to old family recipes while creating many of their sweet, made-from-scratch indulgences. For Canada’s 150 enjoy ‎Little Pecan Pies, Caramel Peanut Popcorn and Beaver Faced Topped Cupcakes.
