Calgary's biggest trivia night will test your wits this February

Jan 8 2020, 2:59 pm

If you’re going to hit up one trivia night this year, this should be it.

Not only is February 3’s 2020 Brain Freeze Trivia Night with Branch Out touted by organizers as the largest trivia night of its kind in the whole city, it also directs its proceeds towards the Branch Out Neurological Foundation.

The event has been organized by Calgary Corporate Challenge, and encourages teams of four and up to sign up for $100 per team — though no one will complain if you opt for the $150 charity option, which will see more cash going towards Branch Out.

Over 75 teams are expected to participate in this year’s trivia night, which will be held at Schanks Sports Grill South.

Attendees are asked to arrive between 5:30 and 6:15 pm for check in. Trivia starts at 6:30 pm and will run for five rounds of 10 questions each.

The three teams with the highest overall scores will be crowned as victors and receive prizes and, more importantly, renown.

If you’re looking to do a little studying before the event, the official website has provided the categories for each of the five rounds:

  • Great White North
  • Cold Hard Facts
  • No Biz Like Show Biz
  • Reindeer Games
  • Winter Wonderland
