Two Calgary-based companies named among the world’s best for 2026
Two Calgary-based companies just made a list of the world’s best companies, with one coming in the top 200.
Time magazine, partnered with Statista, recently released its World’s Best Companies of 2026 list and Enbridge and Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) made the cut.
The companies on the list were ranked based on three main areas: employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability.
Employee satisfaction was based on surveys of more than 200,000 employees from around the world, while revenue growth was measured using company revenue data from the past three years.

For sustainability, researchers looked at factors including carbon emissions, diversity on company boards, human rights policies, and corporate responsibility reporting.
The three areas came together to create an overall score out of 100, with the 1,000 highest-scoring companies making the list.
Enbridge came in at 185th overall, with a score of 83.74 out of 100. The company scored 500th in the employer sub-ranking and 532nd in sustainability transparency, while receiving an “Outstanding” ranking for growth.
Further down the list, CNRL came in at 928th place with an overall score of 73.37. The company ranked 375th for its employer score and 935th for sustainability transparency, with its growth rated “Moderate.”

Out of the 1,000 companies included, 18 of them were Canadian. TD Bank Group was the highest-ranked Canadian company, coming in 14th overall with a score of 89.58. Manulife and Desjardins followed, coming in 54th and 74th place, respectively.

This isn’t the first time a Calgary company has gotten some global recognition. Earlier this year, a Calgary-based company ranked second in the world on Time‘s World’s Top GreenTech Companies list.
