Go skating in the heart of downtown

While Olympic Plaza is under construction, you can still find a couple of outdoor skating rinks in downtown Calgary. Prince’s Island Park offers skating on the lagoon, which is a fantastic winter activity, especially at night, giving you a chance to glide across the ice under the city lights.
Have some winter fun at Winsport

Whether you’re a skiing pro, just beginning, or just want to go tubing, Winsport is the ultimate winter destination. It’s a great spot to get an adrenaline rush, have a fun time with friends, or just simply enjoy a classic Calgary activity.
Head up to the Calgary Tower

The Calgary Tower is a great spot all year round, but winter offers a unique perspective. On a clear winter day, you can see the city dusted in snow and the Rocky Mountains standing tall in the distance, making it one of the best views in Calgary without having to brave the cold.
