Calgary weather this week actually warms up a bit with clear skies

Throw on the shades and pour some sangria; the sun is coming back to Calgary!

Okay, okay, we may be getting a bit ahead of ourselves here, but anytime Calgary’s temperatures are missing that infamous minus sign is cause for celebration in our eyes.

This weekend will (hopefully) see just that, with temperatures climbing up to 0°C by Sunday.

Before we get there, however, we’ll still be seeing some frosty evening, with -9°C and a chance of snow on Friday, -12°C on Saturday, and -7°C for Sunday night.

The days look a little warmer, going from -5°C on Friday to -2°C on Saturday, before reaching only just freezing on Sunday.

It might not be the warmest day of the year, but it is at least a glimpse of what’s to come.

The first day of spring is officially less than one month away (March 20, to be exact) and every day can be expected to get a little longer, a little warmer, and a little closer to that sweet, sweet summer-time.

Until then, we’d suggest bundling up no matter how “warm” it might feel outside.
