Now this is summer.
Calgarians who may have been disappointing with the rather mild temperatures and consistent thunderstorms we saw at the start of the season will be happy to hear that, for the next seven days at least, summer will be in full force in YYC.

Temperatures are expected to hover between the high 20s and low 30s in the coming week, according to The Weather Network, reaching as high as what feels like 33°C.
That scorcher comes on Tuesday, when temps will officially be at around 32°C, nighttime will see a cool 15°C, and there will be a whopping 14 hours of sunshine seen throughout the day.
Wednesday through Sunday will see mainly sunny skies with a mix of clouds here and there, with highs ranging around 26°C and 27°C — though Sunday will see things cool down to highs of just 22°C.
Only 1 mm of rain is expected on Thursday, though with a 30% POP, we wouldn’t worry too much about it ruining a day spent in the sunshine.
The glimpse we have of what next week will bring shows highs drop all the way down to 21°C, so we’d be sure to live your very best summer life this week while the weather’s hot, the skies clear, and the threat of getting struck by lightning, sucked up into a tornado, or pummeled with unreasonably large chunks of hail is (hopefully) at zero.
