Snow expected to fall in Calgary again this week

Oct 10 2017, 11:57 pm

Get out those earmuffs, scarves, toques, and mittens, because it’s going to get even colder for Calgary weather this week.

Flurries are expected through Wednesday and Thursday, with lows of -4°C leading up to the weekend.

Once we’ve made it into those days off, however, things will warm up to highs of 13°C alongside clear blue skies.

Wednesday will see snow throughout the day and into the night, with a chance of flurries on Thursday night as well.

While a few of the flakes may stick after the flurries are over, it will have nothing on the record snowfall for October 12: A full 11.7 cm in 1966, and a historic low of -16°C in 2009. Compared to that, it’s practically still summer!

So make the most of the “warm” weather while you still can this weekend, as it will be full of great events to check out.
