Calgary has been quite cold over the past couple of days, but we’re set to see some relief soon with warm weather headed our way, but it won’t last for long.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) predicts that the cold weather is going to let up a bit, seeing some sunshine and above-freezing temperatures early next week, so you’d better get out and enjoy it while you can.
Tonight’s overnight low of -21°C is set to be the coldest temperature we will endure before heading into a gradual warm-up over the weekend. Saturday leads the way with a daytime high of -2°C and warming up overnight to zero.
Sunday’s looking much better with sunshine and a daytime high of 9°C and staying above freezing temperatures to zero at night. Monday brings some much-needed relief with daytime highs hitting a dazzling peak of 13°C, followed by an overnight low of -2°C.
Unfortunately, the warm-up isn’t going to last for long with Tuesday bringing highs of 1°C and back down to a chilly overnight low of -13°C. Wednesday is even colder, with a high of -14°C, and it continues to go downhill from there in the temperature department, with Thursday seeing a brisk high of -19°C.
