
While we’ve been seeing some nice weather here in Calgary, it looks like it’s about to take a turn with a 24-degree temperature drop on the way.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Calgary is set to see some colder weather heading into the May long weekend.
Tuesday sets the tone for a nice day, with a high of 22°C before dipping to 11°C overnight.
Wednesday gets even hotter with the daytime high hitting 25°C, the highest temperature forecast. The overnight low is expected to be 9°C.
The temperature starts to drop on Thursday, where the daytime high is set to reach 17°C before falling to 6°C overnight.
Rolling into the weekend, Friday gets cold with a high reaching 14°C before falling to 1°C overnight, a whopping 24-degree temperature drop from Wednesday’s daytime high of 25°C.

If your May long weekend plans include the outdoors, you may want a backup plan as Saturday is set to see the coldest daytime temperature forecast, reaching just 7°C with a chance of showers. The overnight temperature is set to drop to 2°C.
Sunday follows suit, with showers expected and a daytime high of just 9°C before falling to 3°C overnight. Things look like they start to pick up on Monday with the daytime temperature reaching 14°C.
According to ECCC, the average high for this time of year is 16°C, and the average low is 3°C.
