Tim McGraw Calgary Stampede concert 2019

Tim McGraw will be closing out the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth with a concert on Sunday, July 14. The concert will be part of the Virgin Mobile Stampede Concert Series and will have McGraw playing to (what we can only assume will be) a sold-out crowd on the last night of the festivities.

Taking Strides Stampede Breakfast

Taking Strides is hosting their third annual Stampede breakfast. If you’re looking for some free grub and fun, you can look forward to pancakes, music, games, and prizes.

The Grandstand Show

This show is always a highlight and a must-see every year for Stampede-goers. This year they will be showcasing elements that have contributed to its success over the years, including performances from The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede, world-class acrobats, extreme athletes, musical performances, and more. A release from the Calgary Stampede states that the theme of the 2019 Grandstand show will be “Trailblazer,” taking inspiration from the travelling shows of the early 20th century yet being performed on the most technologically advanced outdoor stage in the world.

The Rodeo

Stampede just wouldn’t be Stampede if it weren’t for the rodeo events! Calgary has a long and proud history of cowboy culture, and you can’t get any more cowboy than taking part in a rodeo – or, at the least, watching from a safe distance. This heart-pounding, world-class show never ceases to entertain as cowboys and cowgirls compete for $2 million in prize money. A few events you can expect to see is Barrel Racing, Tie-Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Bull Riding, and more.

Attend a Stampede Breakfast

It’s nearly impossible to make it through Stampede and not take part in at least one of the MANY Stampede Breakfasts happening all around the city. But, let’s be honest, who would willingly pass up free pancakes, bacon, and eggs?
