The Calgary Stampede has officially gotten underway, and with parades to see, foods to eat, and FREE admission, there’s no excuse not to check it out.

Catch the 2019 Stampede Parade

This yearly spectacle will surely not disappoint as it takes over downtown Calgary and leads us into the 107th Calgary Stampede. You won’t want to miss this year’s parade marshal, Amber Marshall. Join her as she leads this iconic parade and kicks off this year’s festivities!

Stampede Parade Gourmet Breakfast

The Calgary West Rotary Club is hosting their 26th annual Stampede Parade Gourmet Breakfast. Watch the parade-goers pass you by from your guaranteed seating on the bleachers as you munch on pancakes. Proceeds from the breakfast go towards local and international humanitarian projects.

Price: $55 and kids under four eat free

Free Admission to Stampede Grounds

Get to the gates between 11 am and 1:30 pm and you’ll be treated to FREE admission to the 2019 Calgary Stampede! We’d get there a little early though because you know those lines are going to be looooong.

Fluor Rope Square

This yearly Downtown Classic will be hitting Downtown Calgary once again for days filled with western Calgary classics! Begin the day off with a bacon pancake served fresh off the Chuckwagon and enjoy Stampede-style entertainment, including marching bands, dancers, singers, fiddlers, and more!

When: Events begin at 8:15 am from July 6 to 13, end at around midnight

The Grandstand Show

This show is always a highlight and a must-see every year for Stampede-goers. This year they will be showcasing elements that have contributed to its success over the years, including performances from The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede, world-class acrobats, extreme athletes, musical performances, and more. A release from the Calgary Stampede states that the theme of the 2019 Grandstand show will be “Trailblazer,” taking inspiration from the travelling shows of the early 20th century yet being performed on the most technologically advanced outdoor stage in the world.
