Alberta’s province-wide food festival returns next month — here are 40 Calgary restaurants to check out

One of Alberta’s most prominent food festivals returns next month, with restaurants all over the province offering multi-course, fixed-price menus.
Alberta on the Plate, the huge 10-day dine-out affair, kicks off on Friday, Aug. 8, and runs until Sunday. Aug. 17. As part of the festivities, restaurants will be offering multi-course menus designed to showcase the very best of what the province has to offer from local producers, growers, distillers, and brewers.
This year, 40 restaurants in and around Calgary will be taking part in the event, with participating spots ranging from fine dining to casual eateries. In addition to the fixed menus, each establishment will also have recommended local pairings that can be added alongside the meal.
