
There will be several Remembrance Day Ceremonies held across Calgary on Tuesday to honour those who lost their lives in action.
We’ve rounded up a list of some of the ceremonies happening in the city where Calgarians can pay their respects.
Field of Crosses

Field of Crosses is a display of over 3,000 white crosses inscribed with the name, rank, regiment, date of death and age at death of Southern Albertan soldiers killed in action. On Nov. 10, lanterns are placed in front of the crosses and burn from sunset until sunrise on Remembrance Day. On Nov. 11, a ceremony will be held at 10:10 a.m.

The Military Museums is hosting its annual Remembrance Day Ceremony, starting at 10:45 a.m. You can find the full itinerary online.

Hanger Flight Museum
The Hanger Flight Museum is hosting its annual Remembrance Day Ceremony at the helicopter landing area behind the museum. The museum will be open after the ceremony with admission by donation.
When: Tuesday, Nov. 11; 10:30 a.m.

CPKC Remembrance Day Ceremony

The CPKC’s annual Remembrance Day Ceremony will feature a moment of silence, followed by a train whistle at 11:02 a.m. The event is held at its headquarters located in Calgary.
When: Tuesday, Nov. 11
Where: CPKC Memorial Square – 7550 Ogden Dale Rd. SE
Remembrance Day at The Royal Canadian Legion
Royal Canadian Legion branches will be hosting several Remembrance Day Ceremonies in Calgary. You can find the one closest to you online.Â
